Birthers Adore Sarah Palin (Ultra Hurlicious)
American Chronicle ^ | August 22, 2009 | Robert Paul Reyes

Posted on 08/22/2009 7:21:02 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

"A new analysis by Public Policy Polling (D) finds that Sarah Palin is especially popular with a key Republican demographic: The Birthers.

Among those respondents in PPP's latest national poll who either said that President Obama was not born in the United States or were undecided, Palin had a 66% favorability rating."

Eric Kleefeld/TPM

The Republican Party bears a strong resemblance to the bar scene at Star Wars. Attend any GOP gathering and you will find a motley crew: Birthers, tea baggers, Palin sycophants, town hall meeting trolls, gun nuts, born-again clowns, and pro-life zealots.

When pundits and political experts use a phrase like "Birther wing of the GOP" without a hint of irony, you know that the Republican Party is in deep trouble.

It's no surprise that birthers would find affinity with the looney former governor of Alaska who believes that she is a foreign policy expert because she can see Russia from her back porch.

The inmates have seized control of the Republican Party, and it's totally plausible that the chief nut, Sarah Palin, could win the 2012 Republican Presidential nomination.

As a liberal this possibility makes me happy, because Obama would win in a landslide. But as an American who loves this country, this nightmare scenario makes me very sad.

I'd rather maintain permanent residence at the infamous Star Wars bar than have Sarah Palin as my president.

Mr. Obama will be lucky to serve out his current usurped term without being impeached or the far-left nutroots storming the gates, much less beating anyone in 2012, at the rate he's going. Even ACORN and the SEIU can't swim against the stream of ticked off voters that this fiasco is creating. What do you think?

Five dollars to the first person who can offer proof that they’ve teabagged a liberal (who would’ve begged for it, anyway)....

I thought homosexuals were one of their favored groups? Then why would they use a slang term for a homosexual act to slander conservatives? Of course, I’m expecting logic from far-left peacecreep hippies ... what was I thinking?

PPP is a liberal rag polling place. What’s hilarious is that Sarah Palin has NEVER even said that she does not believe that Obama is a natural born citizen, no one has ever asked her. What this BS poll is trying to do is saying that birthers are nuts and Sarah attracts whackos

Hey, I love Sarah, and I have also not seen any proof that Der Fuhrer was born on American soil.

If that bothers the libs, too freakin’ bad.

When they have to call her President Palin, their heads are going to explode. It will be a thing of beauty.

God Bless America!!!

I love Sean Hannity but when liberals say they want Sarah to be our nominee I believe it about as much as I believed him when he repeatedly said he wished Hillary would be the DNC nominee.

How likely is that? She's just an Alaskan housewife who got so bored after quitting her job that she started posting on Facebook.

I will probably get called a racist by one of the obama-trolls for saying this, but I’m disappointed by this article - proof of another obama failure.

I was assured that obama would transcend race and put the old frictions behind us, but everyone who disagrees with him is called “racist”.

I was assured that obama would bring us together in a post-partisan era, but he seems to be going out of his way to attack everyone who fails to march lockstep down his road paved with “good intentions”.

I was assured that obama would have the most open administration in history, but he won’t let us know what’s coming in the “health care” bill that he wants signed before anyone reads it.

It’s almost like the media colluded with obama to trick us into voting for socialism. Almost.

The real idiot here is not the “birthers.” It’s the guy who doesn’t care if a non-American is fraudulently serving as the President of the United States. Reyes is an idiot.

with a key Republican demographic: The Birthers

SWEET! We are a "key Republican demographic". For the record, I am a birther and I love Sarah Palin. It would be worth it to see Mrs. Palin clinch a 2012 victory if only to see liberal loons like this author evacuate this nation, thus helping to restore it to prior levels of greatness.

I'm not a Republican but even if this description was of the right in general I would not be offended.

Weak, Mr. Reyes. Weak.

You are contumely challenged. Learn two pejorative words and try again in the morning.

I still advocate an approach where conservatives plant articles in liberal media that are even more puerile and even more egregious than anything liberals can come up with. We out-stupid them to the point of absurdity under pseudonyms and flood the media with such twisted nonsense that even an 11 year old would be embarassed.

Among those respondents in PPP's latest national poll who either said that President Obama was not born in the United States or were undecided,...

I don't see any reasoable choice other than "undecided".

If I were to decide for sure he was born in America, then how could I explain his reluctance to show us the rest of his birth records? He might have a good reason. Or the reason might be that they undermine the credibility of his short form COLB.

I think reasonable people must remain in doubt until more evidence comes to light.

I say shift the focus on whether he was born in America or not, to simply getting to the records so that thinking people can know one way or another.

Until, then, why should one go out on a limb either insisting that he was or that he was not born in this country?

Where did that line about “seeing Russia from my front porch” come from. Wasn’t that spoken by a comedian impersonating Sarah? Tina Fey?
I can understand Sarah saying such a thing. Hyperbole is often used effectively to illustrate a point, but I’m not at all certain that she did say it.

“As a liberal this possibility makes me happy”

Now they have to insist they want Palin to run, to disguise the fact that Palin is the number one threat to liberalism.

Palin Derangement Syndrome must be caused by the belief that Tina Fey is actually Sarah Palin.

It’s the only sensible explanation for the failure to understand who and what Palin is (assuming they’re not lying).
