Vaughn Ward, a former Marine who led a combat tour in Fallujah, Iraq and current GOP House candidate in Idaho, says that "two Alaskans" are coming to campaign for him.
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that he doesn't mean Don Young and Ted Stevens.
Two of his donors are Jim and Faye Palin of Wasilla, Alaska the father-in-law and mother-in-law of former GOP vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Which suggests he might have a connection or two up in that state.

Vaughn Ward appears to be emerging as the concensus choice among Republicans for this campaign, which is surprising because he’s never held elective office and isn’t widely known. His credentials look impressive.
And he can’t be bought......
For the Minnick seat ?
Yeah, the Minnick seat. Other Republicans who were expected to get into the race have hesitated, for reasons that are unknown to me.
I was confused for a moment, from the headline, I thought he was going to run against Don Young or Lisa Murkowski in the GOP primary, both of whom badly need to be taken down.
Don Young may retire. Sadly, his wife of many years died recently.
Lisa Murkowski is trying to avoid a primary challenge. She voted against Kathleen Selebius and Sonia Sotomayor in high-profile votes.
As for this thread, one of the reasons that the field is so fluid is that Bill Sali may run again. I hope he doesn’t. While Sali was excellent on the issues, he rubbed many locals the wrong way. His defeat was more from personal rejection than any national trends.
Hey Kathy who do you think might beeeee
I think I know which two Alaskans will campaign for him: Jim and Faye Palin. : )
Sarah wouldn’t endorse someone that could be.
he only won because he spoke like a conservateve good old boy with guns and hunting etc.....and his Pub opponent was incompetant..
people have got to realize that you can never ever vote for a Rat...ever....they are all alike...they stick together and they don't care what damage it does....
