7th Circuit Solicitor Trey Gowdy says he is seriously considering running for U.S. Congress in 2010.
The top prosecutor for Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties would run against Republican Bob Inglis in the 4th Congressional District.
Gowdy says he has already discussed the matter with his family and will make a formal decision by June 1st.
I am concerned about the direction in which this country and the Republican party are headed, said Gowdy.
The fundamental core principals of the Republican party need to be identified and expressed in a positive and enthusiastic way, instead of continuing to be the faint echo of the Democratic party that it has become.

Bob Inglis has turned squishy on important issues recently. I hope he either retires or loses the Republican primary.

Yeah, Inglis needs to go, and so does Graham.
