Another example of direct economic loss to the airline and tourism industries and a loss of enjoyment of life by actual people, all for a hoax. Keep in mind, the government will never be able to prove that the tax money had ANY effect on global warming whatsoever. More . . .

If you read the story carefully...it just says the flyers won’t be using Dutch airports to leave from. They basically will drive across the border to Hamburg, Koln or Belgium...park in a low-charge airport parking lot....and fly out via that airport. The Dutch politician gets credit for drops in fewer flyers and things on paper look great. The tax money that the Belgium or German guys get...pumps up their economy, and life goes on.
Anyday now....the Germans will repeat this same episode....and flyers will start to head over to Poland, Prague, and Luxembourg for their flights....with the same discount rate and cheap parking.
There is little doubt that discount air travel...since the 1970s....has grown past anything that folks ever imagined...and it could be one of a dozen bad things that we’ve just accepted. The thing is....there is no real method to stop this idea of exotic vacations now. The public....across the US and Europe demand it. So this will carry on...in some fashion.
Why should anybody try to stop it?
