Barack Obama recently said that spouses are off the table:
In a taped interview with the network, Senator Barack Obama suggested that Senator John McCain should have done more to tamp down attacks on Mr. Obamas wife, Michelle, who has been the target of false rumors and criticism about her personal character and her patriotism.
I think families are off limits, Mr. Obama said, speaking in Taylor, Mich. I would never consider making Cindy McCain a campaign issue. And if I saw people doing it, I would speak out against it. The fact that I havent seen that from John McCain is, I think, a deep disappointment. Emphasis mine.
OK Senator, here's your chance to end some of the flip-flop talk. Your patrons in the media and on the most-widely read left-wing blog are using a non-story about taxes on a LaJolla, CA condo to tar and feather Cindy McCain, your rivals wife. Ten days after you you said you would "speak out against" the inclusion of spouses, you remain silent on the issue. Will you be true to your word and berate the media and the HuffPo for bringing Cindy McCain back into the race or will you continue the trend of conveniently forgetting what you say and playing the politics as usual that you rail against? If you choose not to be a man and live up to your word, you have no cause to whine when your wife becomes an issue once again and I would suspect there's an entire arsenal of bad press just waiting to be released.
The clock is ticking, Senator.
Exit question: Is that really the address of Cindy McCain's relative that the HuffPo linked to in the piece? If so, they are putting the safety of a presidential candidate's relative at serious risk, don't you think?
Update: Almost forgot, hat tip to the Cap'n Hot Air, the best site on the web.
Freedom of speech does NOT protect you from people talking about what you said.
Michelle Obama loves America about as much as Louis Farrakhan does.
Anyone who read her thesis or listened to her speeches knows this.

Would someone please show her how to draw her eyebrows in the right place???
Bwahahahahaha! Women draw eyebrows now???
Must have seen Billy Goat lurking nearby.
Beds, tables, floors, it makes no difference to Billy.
I agree with you. None of the spouses are off the table. Imagine if a first lady has in her background things that can lead to blackmail and make her a bad role model.
