I see them as a pure propaganda tool, an instrument that helped Obama defeat Clinton, no doubt, I am referring for example to the latest (liberal) LA Times' poll that Obama has a lead over McCain by 15%...
Pure enemy propaganda....
thanks, Let them — at least — know that WE don’t buy it as “facts”.
Pure enemy propaganda....

Based on historic results comparing elections to polls, you can take the Margin of Error and multiply it by 5. Polls give you some indication, but their quoted MOE of +/-3% are a total joke. Polls are lucky if they are within 10%.
There's only one poll that counts.
About as much faith as I have in the integrity of the vote....slim to none.
The dying media seem to think they will influence the election outcome with their constant battering of their choices upon the American people.
They may do just that because so many public members actually believe what they read and see and hear through the mouthpiece of the agenda driven press.
Do people actually believe polls?
Doesn't matter. Remember the hue and cry in 04 when the early exit polls were soooo wrong?
This election, wherever it may be close, will be a bloodbath that will make FL 00 look like a paper cut.
Agreed Roccus - I also believe what transpires after the election will be the true bloodbath.
Even if McCain wins - he will be stopped at every door.
Soros will be delighted. He may have brought the nation to its knees.
Considering the last eight years, McCain being “stopped at every door” may not be a bad thing. Personally, I’d like to see him stopped at the door in the Twin Cities.
My poll “rules”:
1) Polls DO matter. They give an indication, at a particular point in time, of who someone says they will probably vote for.
2) State presidential polls are more important that national presidential polls.
3) Early (June) presidential poll numbers can change a LOT when compared to late (October) presidential poll numbers.
4) You have to ask “what percentage of Democrats vs. Republicans vs. Independents were included in the poll?”
5. Not all polls are equal. Gallup’s late presidential polls have tended to be pretty accurate. (The LA Times, on the other hand, has a generally bad reputation for polling, and for good reason.)
Poll Sample: 25 unemployed at home during daytime.
Poll Question: Based upon Bush's lies, Cheney's ties to Haliburton, CIA Agent Plame's outing, hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi women and children killed, and the unconstitutional Guantanamo, do you feel:
a: Bush is a bad, bad man
b: Bush is a very very bad man, or
c: Bush should be impeached
MSM Headline: "Majority of Americans call for Bush's Impeachment"
“How much ‘faith’ do you have in the MSM press’ “polls”?”
I believe most polls that have the race a dead heat are correct. The ones showing a big lead for either candidate at this point are flat out propaganda, especially when they over sample one group in order to get the result that they are looking for.
How much faith do you have in the MSM press polls?...
It’s way to early for polls......absolutely a BIG ZERO!
Zero.
The same amount I have in anybody's polls.
Polls might be meaningful only among a community of totally ignorant retards.
Just saying.
Polls advanced by the msm cannot be taken seriously. They seek to create what propogandists know as the ‘band wagon effect.’ If the msm can report, day in, day out, that Obama is soaring to the political heights, it is their hope that undecided voters will swing their way and that opposition voters will give up and stay home on election day.
None.
Everyone loves the polls and quote their historical accuracy when they show your candidate way ahead. They’re propaganda, worthless and misleading when they show your candidate behind.
