President Bush would have to do something catastrophic, for her to enter the '04 race.

What effect would a catastrophic event such as another massive terrorist assault have on President Bush's reelection? Would Americans rally to him if he provided the same leadership as post 9/11 or blame him for not preventing it?

"She refuses to EVER take chances; on anything! She is NOT a risk taker. This is bankable."

You've got to be joking right? Afterall, she married Bill Clinton didn't she?

She is never going to "announce"

She will replace the Democratic candidate for President on October 18, 2004, after spending a long weekend with Bill deciding how to respond to the a) tragic air crash, b) tragic assassination, c) untimely death from natural causes, d) withdrawal for personal reasons, e) unfortunate scandal being exploited by heartless Republicans, forcing a late change on the Party.

Hilly has another problem, if she decides not to run in 04, she faces re-election in 06. If Rudy decides to run against her, she could very well lose. Not to her likeing.

You are quite correct. The Torricelli thing was a dry run for 2004, and it establishes a convenient legal precedent when the time comes for H*****y to make her move.

I don't think there will be another 9-11 style attack on American soil until after the election. The terrorist masters are not stupid. They have a definite interest in seeing a pro-terrorist Democrat elected. One who, like Bill Clinton, will do nothing in response to attacks (except to posture and emote). To stage a major attack at any time before the election will guarantee W's re-election.

Displaying the cultural tone-deafness for which she has become so famous, Hillary! will make a surprise announcement on Sunday, December 7th, 2003.

Her flying monkeys in the press will portray the backlash from those offended as the lunatic rumblings of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, the first official Hillary!-as-victim moment of the nascent campaign.

"She will be drafted as the Democratic VP candidate at the convention in the summer of 2004 to whomever is the frontrunner."

That's been my guess all along, basically for the reasons you've outlined as well as not having to go through the long, painful, and exhausting primary season.

"08 becomes alot easier if she can scare everyone else from running against her. Also by that time the W economy will be running out of juice.

You're right. They are brilliant, but they are calculators. She has no courage, no vision--no driving passion that would make her throw her hat into the ring because she believes her country needs her leadership now.

I can't believe she will go to her grave without running. She controls most of the media still, but that will be gone by 08. She controls the purse strings of the DNC now, her airbrushed face is how she's envisioned now. The dems are sputtering mad about everything, especially about Bush implementing all their programs.

All of that is likely to be gone by 08.

If she's going to run, she has to run now.

I am sorry to hear about the recent death of your father. I'm sure that still hurts in a very real way.

Your replies to me on this thread have been most civil. Thank you for that. That elevates the discourse about politics and conservatism, which is a big part of what FreeRepublic is all about.

The Torricelli thing was a dry run for 2004

Also Wellstone.

I'm sure they want to create a situation where they can litigate over whether or not Dean votes can count for HRC.

In a close election, that could create so much confusion that it would be impossible to know who won.

One, two, many Floridas...
