Okay, no cheating by reading the article, but because it's FR, there is no need to worry as you will all post w/o reading :)

For me, the obvious song is by Carly Simon, "You're So Vain"...

Well I hear you went up to Saratoga And your horse naturally won Then you flew your lear jet up to Nova Scotia To see the total eclipse of the sun

Okay it, only tangentially, has to do with the eclipse but I like it anyway: “Blue Moon” by the Marcels!

Carly Simon’s hit YOU’RE SO VAIN has a line about going to Saratoga to view the Total Eclipse of the Sun.

“Eclipse” by Pink Floyd hands down.

...
And everything under the sun is in tune,
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon.

Sisters Of The Moon - Fleetwood Mac

This is from the underappreciated 1979 "Tusk" double album of Fleetwood Mac. This haunting vocal by Stevie Nicks is a highlight of that album that really should have been a much bigger hit.

I linked to a live performance from 1982 above.

That song, and some of the ones already mentioned here, will be getting played shortly on Deep Tracks (if you have Sirius/XM). DJ Earle Bailey is devoting his entire 6-hour show to nothing but songs about the eclipse, sun, and the moon. Should be interesting. If you miss it, it will be available for streaming on the Sirius/XM app.

I sound like I'm doing a commercial here but this looks to be a very good radio show for those who like hearing the deeper cuts of classic rock.
