One pilot? If this is the prototype of the airliner design, there should be a co-pilot. Such redundancy should be done, just in case.

I think this is just a scaled-down proof of concept.

Looks like a fighter jet.
And looks like a passenger jet, for one passenger, who would also happen to be the pilot.

Super cool. Not sure how viable a super sonic airliner is in today's marketplace. At least it doesn't appear to be government funded.

I think this is just a scaled-down proof of concept.
If that's the case, it means that, the passenger version ia many years in the future, a decade or more. Why not just take the Concorde specs and work from there?

Looks like a long way from an airliner...long road to hoe from first flight to commercial flight...but best wishes..

The inaugural flight of XB-1 takes place as Overture continues to advance toward production, with a growing global network of Tier 1 suppliers and an order book including 130 orders and pre-orders from American Airlines, United Airlines, and Japan Airlines.
verture will carry 64-80 passengers at Mach 1.7, about twice the speed of today’s subsonic airliners. Optimized for speed, safety, and sustainability, Overture is designed to run on up to 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

THREE air inlets for one engine?
I suppose there's a reason...

Okay, three inlets for THREE engines.
That makes more sense...

Why not just take the Concorde specs and work from there? Because the Concorde made a tremendous sonic boom. This experiment, along with a similar experiment sponsored by NASA, is all about massively reducing the sonic boom. The Concorde is an example of what NOT to do.

Because the Concorde made a lot of noise and burned fuel like crazy. This new design is supposed to be quiet enough to fly over land and be efficient enough to be profitable.
