“Grok, what stock should I buy?”
Don’t be a Chicken Little, Rooster.
With XMail...if I’m quick...I might get a recognizable email address. Maybe moovova@xmail.com or hunk@xmail.com.
I waited so long with gmail, I had to settle for yh48nnw902z@gmail.com as an email address.
Try telling that to people when they ask for your email address.
I was kinda hoping that Gmail would shut down. From what I hear, Google algorithms read all the mail (looking for words like "MAGA," "AR-15," and "Sunday School") and give access to the FBI.
Google cross-correlates everything that passes through it. Your search terms and what you click through, your youtube history, comments, and patterns, gmail text, recipients, senders, topics, and dates, fitbit users/data/locations, waze location, all their cloud services and their use, anything where you authenticate using google, not to mention any ‘sharing’ agreements with other companies and governments.
On book they earn mostly from advertising revenue, secondly cloud, thirdly subscriptions and devices. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1093781/distribution-of-googles-revenues-by-segment/
I meant to ask, how’s your wife doing? She’s been on my prayer list.
If Musk and tie in his AI tool with Xmail and create a search engine like Google, it’s possible he could become a competitor to Google, if for no other reason than people are sick of Google and their antics.
Gmail’s primary draw is that it’s a key to that universe. If you’ve got a Gmail account then you also have a YouTube account, and googledocs, and google meet, and google drive. And if people want to share these things with you (ie include on a googledoc and talk about it with google meet) it’s way easier if you ALSO have a gmail account. Gmail itself is nothing, just another email server. But that key to the whole google universe, that’s something.
I’ll get x mail as soon as available.
>> Musk has a habit of making outlandish promises that don’t come to fruition
...says Jonathan Chadwick, a snotnose journalism grad who has never done anything noteworthy in his whole life.
Should I believe him? Or believe my own lyin’ eyes?
Followed by yet another mega entrepreneur who will come along after him and rename everything to 'Y-not?'...
For sure I will look at X-Mail when it comes out. My guess is that it will be like Proton Mail that is encrypted. I Mosty use Gmail, because its search is v good and it is highly navigable. But I will be out!!! of Gmail and archive my inbox which is getting near the 15GB limit and has done so a few times. Then switch to X-Mail. And notify everyone which is a pain in arse.

I know XMail will not be the data collecting morass monster that Gmail and Yahoo mail are. Microsoft’s web based Outlook Mail too. Collecting data because they can. Though they also sell this data to marketers/ How much cam they earn from this? I doubt that it is super high dollars/
My favorite TV -— Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver starts streaming on Netflix on April 19, 2024. The Imperium will never forget this day.
Lers see if XMail rollout beats this date of April 19, 2024
I’m in. Take it down elon.
xmail.com is available.
“didn’t see it in the article (scanned only), but Google is shutting down gmail this year.”
That was false information bases on a fake meme.
We have email with our service provider, but I also keep a Hotmail account for when I have to sign up to something and don’t want endless spam in my main account fro provider.
I also use mailinator.com , a free service which is a “temporary email” that doesn’t require signing up for, for when you jusy know that a site will spam you terribly- that is when I will give an address of say “bob@mailinator.com” or any name I can remeber well like say bookworm@mailinator dot com. Or whatever- just go to mailinator, type,in “bookworm@mailinator.com, and receive the sign up email from a site or store or whatever that required an address.
They delete emails after a few dayz- but I delete any that I have to use for sign-ups to other sites or whatever.
Better to use an easy to remember name PLUS a unique name or numbers or symbols beczuse generic ones like jusy bob@ will be used by a lot of folks, so i’ll do something like bob434_343@ instead, as that is likely to not be used, a d all email coming to the site will be for my account, not others as well.
More like a homonym pun. Synonyms have the same general meaning. More accurately a homophone pun since both the spelling and the meaning are different, but the sound is the same.
If people have a choice between historically accurate results verse 'woke agenda results', people would choose historically accurate.
Yup. Who cares about Xmail. We need an XGoogle.
Like I said earlier, if Elon Musk or someone else could create a credible alternative to Google, I think they would do extremely well, people are tired of the crap Google pulls daily on its users.
