“No, that was the US Senate election, not the NJ state senate. It effected the whole country.”

MMMHMM-K.

Foloowing you train of thought, such as it is. What then was the filing deadline to vote for NJ Senator Lautenberg in:

NY
DE
IA
OH
PA
KY
FL
SC
NC

What were those state filing deadlines to vote for NJ Senator Lautenberg? Pay attention.

“The Deep State can get rid of Biden any time they want to—it is called assassination—they have the knowledge, skills, ability and staff to do it.”

From my later post to this thread:

“That means, unless one of the DemonRats wants to do a Julius Caesar on him, he’s going to come into the convention with a majority of delegates who have been elected in the Democrats’ primaries.”

In addition to “knowledge, skills, ability, and staff to do it,” they also have the willingness. Of course we all know that both Jeffrey Epstein and Vince Foster “committed suicide.”

Looks like we have similarly evil minds.

The Deep State loves to create a “national trauma” to brainwash the sheeple.

A dramatic assassination (imho the easiest one would be a televised helicopter crash) could be easily accomplished by the Deep State.

Since they control the investigation they can blame it on whatever patsy they want.

Dude, I’m not trying to argue with you. HOWEVER, NJ State law—written legislation in effect for years—stated there were filing deadlines for the Senate race.

When Torricelli quit, the democrats didn’t have a registered candidate, so they said Lautenberg would serve, if elected. He hadn’t registered in time, however.

They then took it to the NJ Supreme Court, on the grounds that they simply cannot have a blank for the democrat candidate for US Senate. The legislation on deadlines gave no excuses. The law is the law. Then the NJ Supreme Court, primarily made up of democrats, ruled for the democrat party/Lautenburg, despite the law.

New Jersey violated their own law. THAT affected the rest of the country.

I’m sure that’s correct. I’m also sure that neither the Democrat running for that seat, nor the Democrat state government likely contested the case or the ultimate decision allowing Lautenberg to appear on the ballot and run.

As I say, several state filing deadlines for the 2024 Presidential election have passed, with more deadlines coming in the next 60-90 days.

If someone were to challenge those existing deadlines to be included on the Nov ballot, they could do so, but they would not only be fighting standing state law, but also would likely have challenges by the RNC, presumably, and from the existing candidates who filed timely.

Many states have laws in place that require ANY changes made to existing election law take effect in the following election cycle, not the current cycle. So there’s that.

So while NJ may have been able to game their system internally during an election, that prospect is much more difficult in a truly national election where a latecomer candidate would need to appear on each state’s Presidential ballot. Imagine Hillary trying to add her considerable self to the TX or FL Presidential ballot in August.

I do not believe she would experience anywhere near the same passive and accommodating process that Lautenberg did in NJ.

Also, brain dead-Biden appears to not have the self awareness to keep his hubris and/or dementia in check, so I think getting him to give up his campaign and bow out would be like trying to pull his chocolate chip ice cream cone out of his hand.

Good points—that is why the Deep State’s easiest move is to turn Jill into Jackie—with lots of tears of course—prior to the convention.

That makes all Biden delegates uncommitted.

There could be a real floor fight in that scenario—with no clear favorite.

We have not had that kind of excitement since 1968.

I hear you, and agree.

However, even violating election laws in a single state can wrongly effect a national election. We need to always oppose such efforts and stand up for the written law.

In 2020, the democrat governor of Pennsylvania unilaterally ruled that voters would vote by mail without restrictions. The Pennsylvania legislature, run by Republicans, said no, and cited the Constitution as to their authority to make election rules. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court, majority democrat, ruled in favor of the governor.

Even now the US Supreme Court is debating whether or not a state can bar a candidate from the ballot because they believe, sans any conviction, that that candidate is a insurrectionist!

My only point was the democrats regularly behave as if they are above the law, and often get away with it.
