In middle school, our bus driver played AM hit radio, so I know the top 40 songs from that time, but couldn’t tell you who played them. I’m probably familar with more than a few songs that were big when I was a baby or before I was born but couldn’t tell you who sang them. Journey was probably like that for people who were born later. Journey? Orleans? Toto? Kansas? Boston?

So? I was too, and almost everyone my age knows who they are. I may not be able to correctly match most songs to bands (journey, foreigner, Kansas, etc), but I know who they are and recognize songs I hear. And I don't even listen to their style much, I've always preferred country or harder rock.

I grew up with the big three television stations nationally and they televised a lot of games. Now you got to have a subscription to watch anything. I’ve never paid for cable TV and I probably won’t ever start, I don’t believe in paying for signal so... it’s hard to find a hotel room that carries all cable channels nowadays...

I went for decades with a just little Montgomery Wards portable B&W television... I would still (maybe) have it but when everything went digital all that was just another big speed bump for me....

Last World Series I watch was basically at a bowling alley with sports channels up on the big screen in the lounge areas. I kind of dug that.
