Trump can’t rule anyone out because he’s not the one making the decision. The GOP leadership will. If that’s true, then Nimrata is probably a lock, eh? She definitely has the donor money, not Trump. Republican coffers at extreme lows.

No. He has to let her string out her campaign so she’s completely damaged goods by the time the primaries are done.
For all its flaws, I think the national GOP has been working with an unwritten policy where they don’t select a VP candidate who previously competed against the presidential nominee during the primaries. It’s just an awkward arrangement and looks odd to many voters.
