The typical phys ed teacher, we would play dodge ball most of the time on the high school basketball court which was separated by a make shift wall, to keep the boys separated from the girls.

I once got a 2 minute penalty for high sticking while playing floor hockey in gym class. It was so traumatic.

I know if I’d had to share the locker and shower room with boys back in the 50’s and 60’s, gym class, and school as a whole would have negatively impacted my teenage years, and probably my adult lifestyle. Liberals want to negatively impact the lives of as many teenage girl as they can.

The sense of dread entering seventh grade was palpable. Everyone was required to shower after PE. The smell of Jade East permeated the locker room. Life went on...
My HS years were more memorable. The locker room custodian handed out towels. He was a very nice Hispanic fellow, it struck me that he raised a family from this job.
Like many, he enjoyed bowling in a league with his wife, a very sweet lady. I kept score at the local bowling alley, and kept score for his team throughout my HS years (68-72).

What a cake life you’re having if this is even remotely a consideration.

I got my ass snapped with a towel a couple of times but somehow survived and went on to run 10Ks and bike over 3000 miles a year.

Heck sharing a locker room and shower with girls can be bad enough. They can be brutal.
No, it wasn’t physical or sexual in nature. It was social and psychological.
And when you are all at different stages of puberty, look out.
I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to add boys to the mix. n I cannot fathom that even now as an adult.

I guess this would be a problem if you were a 25 yr old with an 8 yr olds maturity and are a self centered spoiled impolite organism stuck on yourself.

I would say there probably is a grain of truth to that. In the third grade we once had to learn how to play basketball. The boys who had older brothers would throw the ball at my shins. Of course it fouled out.
It took some time to understand why. To this day I still really hate basketball.

If so, I'm not going to the prom.

In junior high school gym class, once a semester we had a dance class, none of the girls would dance with me, so I played the record player. Yes I can dance and enjoy it.
