I saw that Barack and Michelle had producer titles in the opening credits. I thought “uh oh”.
However, I loved the movie. It was more terrifying than a horror movie to me because it was more plausible. Well made movie.
I never got the feeling that I was being preached to about anything.

Get this for a plot line hole: So the racist black daughter who is actually channeling the First Wookie’s chip on her shoulder except that she’s an attractive, short. young girl. In one scene she basks by the pool in her bikini flaunting her goodies. The teenage white boy takes stealthy pictures of her. In a bedtime scene, the boy is seen pleasuring himself while looking at the pics of her. At the dramatic conclusion, the racist black girl confronts her father that he better not trust white people because the white boy is masturbating over her. How did she know that? Is that what the First Wookie fantasizes about?
I watched part of it.
Filled with whiny whites that only blacks could fix.
It could have been a good movie with a re-write and yanking Big Mike’s hands off it.
The Tesla’s crashing was an interesting concept.
I watched it and have a questions. Where did all the people go except for Kevin Bacon and the Spanish house keeper? Who dropped the nuke on NYC? Why would the rich people living next door leave the survival bunker open? What caused the deer to suddenly not fear humans? Why did Josh Brolin have to confess that he was a useless white man? So many loose threads.

Glad to read this - my daughter has Netflix which I am able to access. Was planning on watching this when I had time this week.
I don’t need to be insulted - that and I won’t watch anything having to do with 0bama.
In an apocalypse, you should trust those close to you; your community.
Aside from them, everyone should be suspect. It doesn’t mean you shoot them on site. It means you should take care in letting them into your community.
Or, you give them a meal and usher them on their way.
He likely had almost zero involvement aside from being given a few options on which to tag himself.

I’ve probably read 25-30 of the post apocalypse books out there, an entire genre of books exists. The book that got me started was titled, “One Second After” written by William Forstchen, what started out as a 1-book series is now up to 4 books, One Second After was followed by “One Year After”, then “The Final Day”, and most recently “5 Years After.
These books if properly done would make a fantastic series of shows on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
I tried to read the book but have not seen the movie. The book is 5th grade level drivel that wanders aimlessly through a few days of life as a one percenter. Couldn’t make it more than a few pages after realizing how bad it was and started skipping ahead.
The kicker, the book has all kinds of high praise from top reviewers. If you read the reviews from actual people you will see that this is a book that should not have made it to the printers much less become a movie.

How to make a few million dollars:
Write a book that denigrates white people, conservatives, religious people and the Constitution.
