They are political—and hopefully someday they will face the consequences for that decision.

I was a Professor at University of Chicago in the 1980s and 1990s. They gradually transformed from “Milton Friedman” to the douche Austan Goolsby. Standards have fallen dramatically as leftist ideology dominates.

I doubt if there is anyone on the administrative staffs and faculty that has any idea of what their respective universities “core strengths” use to be. And if they did, they probably consider them obsolete, racist, etc.
They are rotten to the core and democrap money laundering machines for people like Elizabeth Warren who gets her money from universities, wall st, and big tech censorship.

Research and learning are diametrically opposed to DEI. Universities simply can’t do both. They simply have to choose one, or the other. It’s too bad their affirmative action DEI leaders will never understand that.
According to family records, one of my direct ancestors donated 95 bushes of grain for the creation of Harvard University because he wanted better educated Christian preachers. What a mistake!
