Actually, people don’t hate the media as much as you think.

When I listened to the news after I had come home form Viet Nam I discovered they were reporting some other country than I had been in. I don't hate them I totally ignore them. Why should I waste my emotions on pathetic pathological liars?

My hatred for the Lamestream Media pales in comparison to my hatred for RINOs.
They worked hand in glove with Democrats to cheat Trump in 2020. If RINO-controlled state legislatures had enforced signature verification on the cheat-by-mail-in ballots and audited Dominion machines, Trump would still be president.
In WWII if an enemy combatant was captured in uniform, they were put in a POW camp. However, enemy spies were a different kettle of fish entirely. Spies were not afforded the luxury of POW status (for good reason). I think of Democrats as enemy combatants in uniform, and RINOs are on par with traitorous spies.

I used to read 3 newspapers per day plus watch the nightly news on cable.
Now I subscribe to zero papers and do not own a TV.
Why pay for gaslighting and lies? There is no truth in media now, only propaganda of one ilk or another.

...because democracy depends on an agreed-upon set of factsYeah, that is funny. Sounds more like the definition of communism than democracy.
Back in the "good old days" there were thousands of newspapers published. Every minor city had at least two. Each newspaper had a slant, and you knew what that slant was. People tended to congregate to the newspaper they agreed with, but opposing views were always available. This was a case where diversity really was good for democracy.

“”” a free press to discover them (the facts)”””
Unfortunately, we have a press that spends its time covering up the facts.

Actually, people don’t hate the media as much as you think.
This is how WaPo propagandists console themselves during the holiday season - "people don't hate us as much as we think they do".
Actually they do, but the holidays are tough on people and comforting fantasies may be necessary for the most desperate.
To: Carriage Hill
I’m not included in their poll. The mainstream media isn’t just bad, they’re evil.
To: Carriage Hill
The media lost many readers and viewers. Who is left might not hate them as much.
