"Chinese telecom giant leading the charge into 5.5G, which promises a tenfold improvement over current 5G"

...which promises a tenfold improvement in spying capabilities over current 5G.

Well now you won’t get coverage a lot faster with 5.5G.

“I get considerable better through-put using the 5G service on her router. The computer I am using to type this is about 30 feet away from the router.”

Sounds like you’re talking about 5Ghz WiFi, a totally different thing from 5G phone service.

From TFA:
Compared to conventional 5G, 5.5G represents a tenfold improvement in performance across the board.

This means that 5.5G networks will be able to provide ubiquitous 10 Gbps downlink and 1 Gbps uplink speeds

while supporting 100 billion IoT connections – compared to just 10 billion with 5G.

In addition, 5.5G is expected to deliver latency and positioning accuracy that are a fraction of the current 5G standard

as well as significant reductions in overall network power consumption.”

And they're only calling it "5.5G" ??? From the above hyperbolic blather, it ought to be called "55G".

What a pile of sales/marketing hooey. Somebody's got good drugs, that's all I can say.
