What about the player on the losing side that read the Bible with his wife while they were at breakfast? Or the hotdog vendor? Or the season ticket holder? Or the bat boy?

Go Rangers! I have no horse in this race, but I'm a fan of Bruce Bochy. Three titles in three World Series with the SF Giants, and I believe in each one the Giants were the underdog (heck, I think they were the underdog in the NL title series too).

A few more stories like this and I just may become a Diamondbacks’ fan.
Back in the 1960-1970s, I was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds, but now I cannot even tell you which league most of the teams are in. Especially the Diamondbacks and I have lived in Arizona for 15 years.
