i dont think anyone was attacking you- i know i certainly wasn’t- i just pointed out what the charges should be and that it didn’t include murder- I don’t think anyone believes he intentionally murdered her-
If you look at my post I did not use the words ‘accident’ OR ‘negligent’.
For this we needed forensics? Oy.
You did not. Thank you but it feels that way. I do believe some are.
Yours is the first attempt I have seen to blame the director of photography for her death.
You’re laying all the responsibility of what happened on the victim?
Uh…NO. Baldwin held the firearm, HE bears the responsibility for what happened. The armorer does bear some as well, for not doing her job, but Baldwin, quite literally, pulled the trigger.
How is it a real firearm with live ammo was on the set in an actor’s hand? This doesn’t make sense to me.
She directed him to point a firearm at her without a ballistic shield in between them.
What is your source for all your claims about her?
Except the rules are different for firearms on a movie set. Actors are not expected to be trained on firearms any more than they're expected to be trained on harnesses, air bags, aircraft, surgery, parachuting, car chases, explosives, electronics, etc. That's what the on-site experts are for.
The actor is not expected to know all the safety rules either, such as for ballistic shields. Are you an expert who has inspected the backstop at every firing range you've gone to?
Actor John Schneider, This single action Colt can’t fire itself.

Smallville Actor John Schneider Explains Why Alec Baldwin’s Gun Could Not Have Misfired Without The Actor Pulling The Trigger

If you would dive deeper into guns on set you would learn that a lot of what you are posting is not accurate.
A lot?
What's not accurate?
That actors are not expected to be trained on firearms any more than they're expected to be trained on harnesses, air bags, aircraft, surgery, parachuting, car chases, explosives, electronics, etc.?
That the director is responsible for placement of ballistic shields when using live ammunition?
That the armorer is responsible for whether or not each firearm on set is loaded or unloaded?
That in some states such as California, the armorer has to be licensed?
That the insurer often requires an approved armorer?
That the practice could have been done with a a blue safety gun or a prop gun instead of a real one?
You think I wrote that you are "getting at" something; that there are unstated motivations behind your comments. I didn't. What I wrote was "where are you getting this?"; in other words, what are the reasonings behind your conclusions?
OTOH, your immediate leap to thinking I was accusing you of unstated motivations seemed odd, so I reread your initial post. Upon second read, you seem to imply Baldwin is being treated more harshly than he should be. That may be why you seem to have set up a straw-man for him, and why you are receiving backlash.
Regardless of one's opinion, the known facts indicate he is guilty of involuntary manslaughter. You don't have to like it, but you would have significant difficulty supporting any other conclusion. Feel free to try.
I asked you for your sources for your claims in post 69.
That she was directing Alec Baldwin during a practice for a scene while not having ballistic shields?
“The deceased director, Halyna Hutchins, directed Alec Baldwin to point a real gun at her to practice a scene, without using ballistic shields or prop guns.”
“She was the director. Where was the ballistic shield that was supposed to be between her and the gun?”
“Alec Baldwin is partially responsible as the producer but not as an actor”
“The director (Halyna Hutchins) and the armorer were responsible for firearm safety at the filming location.”
“She directed him to point a firearm at her without a ballistic shield in between them”
“Except the rules are different for firearms on a movie set. Actors are not expected to be trained on firearms any more than they’re expected to be trained on harnesses, air bags, aircraft, surgery, parachuting, car chases, explosives, electronics, etc.”
“That the director is responsible for placement of ballistic shields when using live ammunition?”
Just post the quotes at that link that say what you say.
What the f* are you going on about?
I have on occasion been surprised to find that something traumatic that happened to myself made me completely wipe out the things that happened during the event. In other words I suppressed some of the event from my memory.
So I thought this is probably what happened to Baldwin. Period. That is what I thought and said here simply because I find the whole thing with ones brain, memory and things to be a bit mysterious, or strange how we remember things.
That is it. Got it? Can you understand that?
It really has nothing to do with Baldwin at all. It was me making an observation on the human mind, the human psyche.
The rest of what goes on with him has nothing to do with me at all. The courts will take care of it and I have no idea what they will do or even really care. It will go as it will go.
