Brave is a very FAST and GOOD browser.

Brave's PROBLEM... far TOO FEW people have ever heard of them.

I use it. I’d like it more if it didn’t randomly quit two or three times a day.

One of my sons said to use Yandex. I tried it once but didn’t like it. Perhaps it’s time to give it another go?

Sorry to hear that. I love Brave. I use it regularly. I’m using it right now.

FWIW, be aware that Yandex is largely a Russian company based in Moscow:

I’ve been using Brave for years since discovering how much faster it was vs Chrome & Edge

I gave it a try, and it seemed like a twin to Dissenter (by Gab) which I use. Dissenter is no longer available to be downloaded, so when the time comes when I have to use something else, it’ll be Brave, if they’re still in business.

Roger that. I looked at it and honestly, I'm not impressed by the GUI. And yes, it being based out of Moscow does give one pause for concern. I will stick with Slimjet, Brave and Palemoon for the foreseeable future. There is no reason for me to change what works.

Thanks for the heads up.

Judging from the response many if not most here are using Brave. I am hoping the cutbacks are due to the tech being able to require fewer personnel to keep things running.

It’s a given that as a technology reaches the mature stage, it requires fewer people to support it.

This is true, I did IT for over 30 years and I saw many tasks become automated without need for any human intervention.

While on the topic of “tech alternatives”, I’ve recently switched to the Kubuntu Linux distro, and am amazed at its polish and functionality. It seems to be flawless and full-featured so far.

Kubuntu is the first Linux distro I've run into that has nice, intuitive and non-buggy power management. It's also great about notifications. Previously I used Elementary, but over the years it seems to have become less functional.

I'm running it on a Dell 7040 Micro tower. I've configured LXD containers to run services, and Docker containers for various "tool" purposes (such as Kali, AWS CLI and Hugo). I've also got a Dell 7060 Micro running Proxmox, although I've not yet gotten too far into that. I intend to use that, plus Zero Tier, to extend my Evil Empire around the globe. :)

I begrudgingly have to run MacOS during the normal workday.

Hmm l will have to spin a VM and give it a try. I like playing different OS’s. I have probably run at least a dozen over the years, l even ran OS2 warp for awhile. I know what you mean about Mac OS it is undeniably good but Apple is infested with leftist a-holes
