I’m a long time EVE player, and this one intrigued me. If nothing else, it encouraged me to upgrade my 7 year old I5 4650K based system. Once that’s finished, I’ll give it a try.

Looks promising. But yeah, Bethesda games usually aren't "all that" right out the gate.
Gotta wonder how much time is gonna get sunk into Starfield. When I got Fallout 3 I wound up devoting over 140 hours to that.
Bethesda is also working on an Indiana Jones game. They've been at it for a few years already, so we may see something from it soon.

I have no dog in the hunt, never been into video games. Daughter, OTOH, does IT by day and games by night, and just this morning was trying to explain to me the CGI problems Starfield was having. So I sent her your review. Her response: “What a Boomer!” I take it as a compliment, whether or not she means it that way 😁

Hmmm. I will add this to my list of games to check out in the winter when I am not so busy.
Thanks.

I spent way, way, way too much time on Morrowind and Oblivion. I’m too old now, fortunately.

I have no dog in the hunt, never been into video games. I hear ya. I played Doom back in the day. Got so sick of fighting my way back up were I was when I got wacked I found the God mode. I beat the snot out of it a few times, gave it several good smirks, turned it off, walked away and never looked back. :O)

Does it have a settlement building aspect like in FO4?

I built a new PC recently and discovered that I got a free version of Starfield premium edition. Have it running, just at the beginning of the game after you create your character.
Should be an interesting game.

A few months ago I got Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. If you liked the first generation of first-person shooters like Doom, you’ll LOVE Boltgun. It really imitates the style of Doom etc. Very good game.

Thanks for the info! I’m a big fan of Skyrim and Fallout 4 so I’m sure I’ll get this. I might wait a bit for the bugs to get worked out. I’m staying busy with Elder Scrolls Online so I can wait :)

I am told it has “pronouns” and gender fluid, etc crap in it.
Won’t spend a single penny on that.

Half my life was played on computer games. I don’t know if that’s right or wrong.

Nothing beats the Legend of Zelda games, IMHO, playing Tears of the Kingdom, loved Breath of the Wild too.

I was all set to get upset about the pronouns too.
Then I discovered you had three choices: Him/His, Her/Hers, and They/Theirs.
I can deal with that.

I was clocked at over 2,000 hours on Battlefield: 2142 then EA shut off the master server.
It’s ok though EA destroyed the BF series....like they always do..
