For years, I took granulate soy lecithin, to get a great form of necessary choline.
Lately, we use sunflower lecithin.
I have zero problems with soy lecithin, and concerns around soy left in it, are few. I don’t care if it is a waste product, if it’s safe and as good effects.
Whether I’d like the texture with chocolate—that’s another thing.

Probably from contaminated soil and irrigation water in third-world countries. The standards are low.
