Jackson ignored the Court in the indian case, and only supported the Court when it was in his interest to do so, when a state felt it had the right to nullify(ignore) a federal law.
Still, the fact remained that Jackson had the POWER to ignore the Court and make HIS decision stick, because he had the power to fire any official who obeyed the Court instead of him.
