It won’t matter. If they could find a penicillin for viruses, they will just mutate to something more deadly

“You think Louie Pasteur and his wife had anything in common? He was in the fields all day with the cows, you know with the milk, examining the milk, delving into milk, consumed with milk. Pasteurization, Homogenization. She was in the kitchen killing cockroaches with a boot on each hand.”

“Life finds a way” ... I love that quote from the first Jurassic. Which is also an anti-abortion statement.

What I see down here are many sterile coconut palms that are planted by the towns. But one out of ten push out coconuts anyways. In the good old days the South Florida towns planted real coconut palms that would yield coconuts. But they got afraid of lawsuits, I suppose. From a dropping coconut bopping someone in the head.

The first Jurassic Park movie was great on so many levels, great lessons.

My favorite line, "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."

Does this apply to AI research and gain of function research. Or what! What we must do with these scamming gov't research funded scientists, is look at them as these wild n crazy guys, out of the old SNL skits with Steve Martin.

OK most of the AI research is privately funded by google Microsoft etc. All the large hi tech players are scrambling after AI now.

AI is going to happen, it’s a question of how much we will rely on it. And who watches the “Special Sauce” programmers are going to put in the Algorithms?

For some fun or fraud AI put MS Edge on yer computer and leave Bing as the search. Then go to AI chat. I have used this five times for fun. The AI results look good for State U students concocting a term paper.

There are numerous medicines (not mRNA) that help us by preventing the virus from entering cells in order to reproduce, or carrying zinc into cells to prevent viral reproducing within the cell. Maybe research could modifying one or more of these such medicines as a “viral penicillin.” Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine, with zinc seems to be working with some effect for the Coronavirus. Maybe they could be modified to be a “viral penicillin” without corrupting our genes
