I’m so over the weather this winter. We had super high winds in the area around Phoenix since Tuesday. I woke up this morning to my 17-yo tree on its side in front of my house! It hit my husband’s car slightly but it totally blocked the garage where my SUV is kept. It also blocked one side of the street until hubby could trim it back. So thankful it missed the house tho. We think it was a microburst over our house because no other trees are down in our neighborhood, even much smaller trees.
Well known fact about Southern California. You can ski in the morning and surf in the afternoon.
I should check on my brother, who’s not too far from Yosemite.
The thing I find interesting is the West-to-East breadth of this event. Earlier there were weather warnings of some sort from CA to the East Coast. Ours (high wind) certainly verified, slightly exceeding the forecast, unlike last week’s, which was a dud.
