i can’t get into our clinic, and they refer me to urgent Care.
Coming soon ... Canadian or British “Healthcare Systems”...a place to die when you finally get in.
Time to start using the ER as doctors office...like the homeless do

I guess I’m really fortunate. I have excellent relationships with my docs, particularly my nephrologist, and can reach him by cell in an emergency. Usually, they will squeeze me in somewhere.
My dentist is another story...

We are still a capitalist society. Can you not switch providers? Shop around?
Urgent care is usually affordable and available. Even some Walmarts have them I am told.
Online doctors/appointments? I see ads and references for such.
Even medical tourism if it’s a big issue?
I’ve had the same guy for decades. If I call, I am usually squeezed in today or tomorrow. If he wants to run labs first, he just sends those to the lab.
Mine also has an on line messaging system where I can “chat” and send photos.
It’s good to have a personal relationship with these guys.

There are a lot more substantial reasons for the growing inability to get timely non-emergency care in this country than “illegal aliens” and being “white.”
There are other options that aren’t Single Payer or God forbid an NHS style government run Healthcare. No one wants that. Germany and Isreal have multi-payer Healthcare with public and private options. There may be a better way. Something better than now.

As for illegal aliens, been to an emergency room lately? Expect to wait at least six hours. I know people who have waited 14 hours. My coworker brought her brother to an ER recently. He had no insurance, so they wanted a $10,000 deposit. Meanwhile, illegal aliens were ushered in like kings and queens, everything free.
Our country is going to total crap.
I believe the care to be fast and good.
What state? Moved from Ohio where we could get in with doctors we had established care with in fairly reasonable time frames, lab work (including x-rays to MRI) was same day with options.
Now in New Mexico. At least 6 months out for initial appointment with anyone. Labs have to be scheduled a couple of weeks out. It’s nuts. Specialists all require local doctor referral. Was in hospital a few months ago, two of four doctors that saw me were immigrants. New Mexico has special tax they charge on Doctors income so many don’t stay here long.
Lots of “doctors” come from India, Pakistan, Africa.
They do not have the skills to engage with a patient.
Third world doctors have massive egos beyond any American White males.
When I select a doctor, I select only White males as I know they share American culture and ethos, and can “read” cues during their interaction. I also know the White male doctor got into medical school on his merit, not some “diversity” quota.
Last time I was hospital every morning a “hospitalist” would come in and ask me how things went yesterday(!). Had a surgery scheduled and cancelled and the hospitalist came in the next day and began by asking me how my surgery went(!). They are supposed to track the patient and know what’s going on.
Foreign-born “doctors” have no inter-personal skills. They can’t relate with the Average American and can’t read hints and no-verbal visual cues.
At 1715hrs one evening the hospitalist prescribed Insulin shots. . .never talked to me, never explained where Ms India got the idea I needed a prescription drug (Insulin) and NEVER got my permission. Oh, and I was leaving the next day. My nurse was surprised by the order to give me Insulin and even though the “doctor” had a hospital email and phone to allow 24-hr contact, she never answered a call, text or email my nurse sent to her.
I refused the Insulin and the next day Third-World Sally entered my room and I fired her. Yes, I fired her. I told her she prescribed a prescription medicine and never talked to me and never got my permission. She was stopped in her steps. When I repeated that I was firing her and to get the hack out of my room NOW, she got all huffy and told me she was a doctor and SHE decides what I need to take and she will not be questioned. Arrogant third-world “doctor.”
The head hospitalist was called and he reviewed the Insulin order and said I had no need for Insulin and the doc should have discussed her decision and received my consent. He fired her.
Four of my five doctors do not accept Medicare/Medicaid. Probably why I don't have an issue waiting long for an appointment. You may want to find a local doctor that doesn't accept medicaid / medicare. As I understand it from talking to my pain management doctor, more and more are refusing medicare/medicaid patients and will only take private insurance. Government doesn't pay spit for doctors accepting medicare/medicaid patience and far more often than not, treating them means the doctor takes a financial loss. That's what I've been told by one of my doctors anyway. YMMV.
