Then in a modern Klaus Schwabian way, she stated, "You will drink TAB and like it, case closed."
God bless my passed Mother, but I will never understand her obsession with TAB in the 70's.
Mods pull if you wish.
Klaus Schwaban way::” you will drink TAB and like it, “
That’s how they are.

I drink Tab with vodka, do an eight ball of cocaine, and smoke Marlboro Lights all day.
I typically huff some ether, and take a Valium or two before bed.
Last time I tried Tab was like in 1971 or thereabouts and I still have a peculiar metallic-like sweet taste on my lips.
What has happened to Fresca?
I remember Tab. Bottles and all.
Diet Pepsi before there was a Diet Pepsi.
It makes me feel very good when I order a Triple Whopper, large fries and a Diet Coke.
I never thought Tab was that bad. But then I’m someone who liked C-Rats eggs, scrambled with ham, chopped.
I had a relative who drank this, all the time. It didn’t appear to ever help with weight issues, though. The saccharin was just terrible in it and the total flavor was literally like drinking black-colored, weakened vinegar, with a hint of cola flavor along with an overwhelming metallic, bitter, fake sweet taste.
It was easily the worst diet drink I ever recall trying.
Strangely, saccharin in tea tastes good to me, but I never tried it until decades later.
I’d occassionally take a can of my mom’s Tab and put some sugar in it. Could almost pass for regular Coke with sugar(!), not the high fructose crap now.
My mother drank FRESCA!!! YIKERS! AWFUL STUFF!
Darn, I guess I should try one before it disappears.
Well, maybe I shouldn’t — I could find I like it. Then what?
All kidding aside, I remember when it was the new kid on the block and I’ve NEVER had a single one. I drink one or two sodas every year.
We took a vacation to Mexico several years ago and my wife packed one suitcase with Tab. Enough to last her the week. There was no issue wih the airline or customs, I was amazed. The benefit, aside from a happy wife, it gave us a suitcase for souvenirs. She has since swore off all Coke products because of their politics.
I love Tab. Haven’t seen it in stores in a very long time.
I hated Tab and never knew anyone who would drink it.
