“Many middle- and low-income countries have yet to approve GM crops despite them being declared safe by the world’s leading food regulatory bodies.”
Gee...”regulatory bodies”....why would we Not trust them????
Do GM grown crops produce seeds for future crops?
The government will make it illegal to grow genetically modified plants, but require you to INJECT A GENETICALLY MODIFIED VIRUS IN YOUR BODY!
—> And over 100 Nobel laureates have signed a statement vouching for GM crops’ safety.
Did they say climate change is real and scientific too??
I could not in my wildest dreams imagine 200+ bushels per acre of corn when growing up.
“And over 100 Nobel laureates have signed a statement vouching for GM crops’ safety.”
So they’re saying that GM crops are ‘safe and effective’.
By the way, how many of those 100 laureates have even studied GM crops?

Hybrids don’t give good seed and they are NOT considered genetically modified.
Because dying in 30 years from toxic build up, is different than dying next week from starvation......
When people are actually starving which is not outside the realm of possibility, if people will try to eat boiled leather belts, they aren’t going to turn up their noses at food made from GMO crops.
Granted, boiling water using windmills or solar panels to cook the leather in won’t be possible either…
I can not eat GM flour (Wheat) from the USA but can eat it from Europe. Some GM items are not good for the body….
Because GM foods are optimized for survival and getting the most out of their growing conditions. Farmers being smart smart businessmen, always want to get the most for their work and monetary investments and GM foods fit that bill. Humans have been doing the same thing, albeit more slowly since we adopted agriculture 10,000 years ago.
Right!
Every single bite of food you put in your mouth has been genetically modified one way or another.
Every single bite.
L
It really is that simple, and the forces of starvation are doing it on purpose.
Their are no GM wheat varieties in commercial production anywhere in the world. There is research and test plots, but none have been been commercialized at the present time.
The gm or non-gm commercially grown soybean can be used for seed, and do as well as the plant it came from. But holding back some harvested gm soybeans can be VERY costly:

Commercial gm or non-gm corn doesn’t keep that ability. That’s why raising seed corn is so expensive.
