FR was and, hopefully, still is family-friendly. But then, I guess I'm just a veteran 24-years-a-freeper-fuddy-duddy.....and not "with-it" any more.

Understood, and you’re right re other issues.
In short, I'm saying you are not being shadow banned.
You bring up some very valid complaints. And yet as you see by the replies many Freepers disagree with you as they ridicule your comments.
But you’ve been here longer than I have and you probably know as well as I do that the moderators are not going to respond to this thread and they’re not going to change their practices. The number one rule of a moderator is that moderators are never wrong.
Yet FR still continues as a haphazard hot mess of articles being posted and re-posted with little to no organization or structure. Then there are the keyword abusers. Just look at any thread regarding the Ukraine/Russian war and you’ll see keywords used as insults both for pro-Russian advocates and pro Ukraine advocates. And the funny thing is the moderators know who posts these keywords, yet they do nothing about them.
Then there is Breaking News. God forbid anybody should ever post anything in Breaking News as it is strictly reserved for Freepathons, Trump rallies and the Sunday morning talkshow thread.
I still don’t see how moderators had anything to do with Magnatron’s issue.
He didn’t say it was gone. He said the links from the topics he was identifying it as were gone, so people interested in the topic could no longer find it when time had moved it out of easily viewed posts.
No. I can understand objecting to your changing the headline because it wipes out the ability to search if someone looks for the complete phrase. Perhaps you could check with mods if it’s acceptable to add tiny amt of info AFTER the correct headline.
I certainly don’t screen, but have no idea what others do.

I didn’t like Chris Eliot at all. But I feel he redeemed himself and his humor in Schitts Creek.
It was more relaxed, he didn’t try so hard. It flowed easier and showed us that he is capable of being respected and funny.
The last episode really made me like the character.

I like Humblegunner! In fact, I like most of the nuts on this site, including the Q-Nuts (Bagster, I’m looking at you). I even like the ones who drag me from time to time like central_va. It’s one of the benefits of letting things roll off your back — especially online. There should only be a few rules on this site:
No pandering to the left (or posting on their behalf)
No direct insults (unearned)
No promoting violence (until it becomes inevitable)
No bad language (I fail that from time to time)
Outside of those, it should be Thunderdome.
Healthy debate and a little argumentative-ness is how we solve problems as a species.

I’ve seen threads disappear which had no indications problematic acceptability. Figured they were duplicates. I think it makes sense to lock the duplicates with a link to the living thread.
No doubt threads get dropped without explanation because it’s easier that way.
Unless you’re looking to get zotted, I recommend not asking to be zotted.
