There were two possible credible explanations at the time:
—Terrorist attack
—Horrible US Navy accident
In either case .gov chose the lie, coverup, intimidate, harass and name-call witnesses approach.
Since no terrorist group claimed credit I tended to lean towards the “horrible accident” explanation.
Accidents are embarrassing for sure—but imho it would have been the wiser course to come clean.
Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite were the most truthful of all.

That makes sense, but what if it happened anyway and the WH ordered it covered up...
Stuff happens. Even highly unlikely stuff happens.
Sure…all viewpoints should be considered. I believed the official story in 1996. This latest information from whistleblowers is interesting, however it should be scrutinized like all other viewpoints
I could never understand Rush’s blind faith in Kallstrom, especially once he started claiming that the FBI should be looking at white supremacist militias for the DC sniper.
I’m convinced al-Qaeda staged the 9/11 attack in four separate aircraft because it made it impossible for the U.S. government to lie about what happened. If there was only one plane that crashed in the World Trade Center, you can be sure the FBI and CIA would have concocted a bullsh!t story about what happened.
It sounds plausible.

I saw the video ONCE. It wasn’t shown again. It was clearly a missile. Zero doubt.
For example, like the Germanwings Flight 9525 where the pilot committed suicide into a mountain, could the pilot have intended to suicide into the World Trade Center?

I’m not an expert but it’s been explained to me that the fuel-air vapor over the fuel in a partially filled tank won’t burn because it’s too fuel-rich. That’s why we don’t worry too much about igniting our car’s fuel in the tank when the cap is off.
But the NTSB report must back up the claim that the fuel tank exploded.
A missile shot down that plane—so unless it materialized from another dimension there are only a limited number of possibilities.

I never believed the whole internal fuel tank story. Too many witnesses said the exact same thing.
I believe it was either a US Navy accident OR Islamic Terrorists/Iranians, etc. shot it down from a man pad on a boat.

Yep, would have been easy. Until I saw the 2nd plane hit the other tower on live TV, I had already thought it was an accident.
Investigators have determined that Flight 800 was destroyed as the result of a frayed wire.
The wire was frayed when it was hit by a missile.
