They can plant all the bugs they want. The bugs can be found. And if they did that, then there is another warrant authorizing that, that no one knows about...YET.
And that one reads like a book. That one has to detail, and I’m talking detail, the crime(s) they’re alleging he committed and continues to commit. And then they have to explain in precise detail why the ‘bugs’ have to be used as they are the ‘last resort’. They have no other way to get the evidence they think is contained within those walls, blah blah blah blah.

I’ve seen a wiretap warrant. The thing was easily 2” thick. You have to detail EVERYTHING that has been tried, why they all failed and why you need to tap someone’s phone. Then you have to have people actively listening because you’re not allowed to record every call. There is Pertinent and Non Pertinent. If it’s NonPertinent, then it can’t be recorded. And the person listening has to decide that within a few seconds, IIRC.
That is, if they’re honest and doing things by the book. As we all know, they ain’t about that, so who knows.

I’m gonna say, just be careful about this ‘inside informer’ stuff. One thing the Feds did when they busted a moonshine still was to say they got information from a rival moonshiner, even if they found the still by accident. It set all the moonshiners against one another (and this is from actual family history because my grandfather lived it and did prison time).
I’m gonna say there’s at least a 50/50 chance the inside informer stuff is b.s. and it’s just to make Trump wonder who he can trust.
