I couldn’t view the recipe, but I have a couple of chocolate recipes that call for powdered instant coffee or espresso. I recently bought Butternut espresso to try in them.
I like to visit thrift shops to see what kitchen items they have. There are some amazing bargains. I am looking for some cast iron pans. We have a used restaurant appliance store in town, but items are too large for home use. Got some great knives there though.
We see them very occasionally in the thrift store, but in recent years people have really grabbed them up.
We have several generations’ worth of cast iron. Some of them have been stored and really need to be cleaned up.
I’ve begun to suspect that our thrift store sends the more collectible stuff to higher-end, more ‘antique-y’ stores. They had a lot more really nice vintage stuff in earlier years. I’d find nice things from the 1950s for 5 or 10 dollars that would go for much more on Ebay or Etsy.
I think the internet has made these stores a lot smarter about what they take in and what they can get for it. And we see collectors in the thrift store checking the internet to see if something they’ve spied might be valuable.
