Not really. The starving hordes will roam out into the suburbs to take things by force.
I used to read doomsday novels. In them, the hordes would come out of the cities and steal from the suburbs. At the time, it made sense.
Then I went into my local urban center. I looked around.
Those people are not walking anywhere, any time soon; At least no distance measured in the 10-15 miles it would take to get to my home.
Those of us in the ‘burbs will have plenty of time to prepare.
That’s the way I see it. Move the liberal voting dems into conservative country. Move illegals back into the cities. Ingenious.

The suburbs in greatest danger are those with mass transit that goes to them.
In the post commuter age the suburbanites may have to resort to extreme measures to make sure they are not a mass transit destination any more....
High-rise homeless camps

Most New Yorkers don’t actually give a damn about Manhattan cultural attractions. The culture exists but certainly worth the effort when existence is challenged
Replaced by North Carolina and Tennessee and such
# The corporations figured out it’s cheaper to have their people work from home. Many of them are never coming back to the offices. Whoever owns office space is royally hosed.
Yup. I’m amazed at whoever is still investing in office space. I don’t see that sector recovering any time soon.
