The replacement for that Atlas V, using American made (Blue Origin) engines, is supposed to have its maiden flight later this year.

Maybe the Russians on the space station get deported out the door or to their capsule?

Don’t think that Musk is much bothered by this.

“Russia halts deliveries of rocket engines to the U.S.”

We can’t even make rocket engines now?

“We are getting rocket engines from Russia?????”

After the Cold War we were shocked to discover just how much better Soviet rocket engines were than ours. We were eager to buy them and used them for a lot of launches.

As with most things Russians they have not improved them over the last 30 years. Today SpaceX, Arianespace and other western rockets are much more advanced.

Didn’t John McCain say they were only 3rd world drunks who ran a giant gas-station?

so they produce rocket motors the USA needs. Who knew?

Let them fly on something else, their broomsticks

Pelosi and Hillary Clinton already perfected how to fly on broomsticks

It’s time to have a 20 year moratorium on awarding MBA’s ...

I think its more the fault of our greedy and short sighted politicians, and ultimately the voters themselves for keeping them in office.

Regardless of the economics, some critical products should be produced here at home.

So Roscosmos is saying “We won’t be selling you any more of these engines that you have already decided not to buy”?

"Let them fly on something else, their broomsticks, I don't know what," Rogozin said...

After the USSR broke up we should have reached out our hands in friendship - - like we did with Germany and Japan after World War II. Big mistake on our part - Russia's one of the few countries in the world our technological equal...

Elon Musk most positively impacted.

My first thought too. I am close enough to a SpaceX location to hear the rumble of rocket engines being tested on occasion.

I guess we’ll be hearing more of that.

What, that we stop buying Russian engines, that we boot the Russians off our space station? Either you are with us or you are with them. Sorry you've chosen the Russians.

Need we ask your opinion on the Chinese?

Dmitry Rogozin, head of the state space agency Roscosmos, said on Thursday.

“In a situation like this we can’t supply the United States with our world’s best rocket engines. Let them fly on something else, their broomsticks, I don’t know what,” Dmitry Rogozin, head of the state space agency Roscosmos,

***could be tagline worthy... not sure yet. Here’s what fits:
“Let them fly on something else, their broomsticks, I don’t know what,” D Rogozin, CEO of Roscosmos

Sounds like a great opportunity for somebody in America to start employing all of those AMERICAN STEM kids.....Now if we can just get the diversity folks and government off their backs.

.......Oh well, it was a good idea.......
