Here is the great and always underrated Roger McGuinn singing and playing better on this particular song than Neil Young and everyone else on stage with him.

Funny you should link to that performance. Here is George Harrison making fun of Neil's guitar playing from that very song as well as of his playing and singing in general. Let's just say that George was not a fan of Neil.

George Harrison on Neil Young.

Of course, conveniently not mentioned is that every stock got hammered last week because Brandon wants to start a war in Ukraine. But I’mmsure it’s all because of Neil Young.

Neil Young was flyover, even in the days of Napster.

Oops. George did not know he was being filmed. He never would have put down another musician in public.

I don’t think.

I think getting rid of Joe Rogan would cost Spotify a lot more than if every 60s has-been rocker pulled its catalog from Spotify.

Rogan is popular NOW, and provides fresh content weekly, bringing back users on a continuing basis.

I’m sure there are a lot of people I disagree with on spotify. But if I was a musician I wouldn’t say I’m not gonna put my music on there if there’s somebody I disagree with.

Another BS lying article. The loses started at the beginning of the year, not since Neil Young started his temper tantrum...

So far, none of the fascists pimping censorship is anyone whose music I ever purchased or would now consider. I love that, in their efforts to pimp censorship of another, they engage in self-censorship by leaving such a forum. Libs have never distinguished themselves in high, or even room temperature, IQ circles.

I think this all has more to do with the artists not being happy with what they are paid from Spotify.

I listened to an interview of some 80s band leader a few years ago. The interviewer asked why singers in general tend to get political after making it big.

The pop star said that he thought it had to do with being behind the microphone and having all of those people in the audience. He said that after a few shows singers wonder whether they have anything to really say besides replaying the same old songs. They begin to view the microphone as a means to influence people.

I always iiked that explanation. Makes sense. Take the transient lifestyle and typical lack of education of the average musician and it explains why they gravitate towards leftism.

I couldn’t care less about Rogan but as I see it the lefties simply cannot allow prominent voices that they do not control, even ones they agree with most of the time. As soon as they recognized that Rogan was a major force in media that they didn’t totally control he had to be destroyed. They tried making him bend the knee (ivermectin use) and he refused. That cannot be allowed. So now lefty bootlicking puppets like Neil Young are duly announcing their devotion to “the man” by doing his work in trying to cancel Rogan.

Why don’t we do this stuff with left wing companies. I mean boycott not censor anything.

Like the Dixie Chicks?

Yes. I’m just referring to the preachy ones, like all the West Coast hippie bands, and other, similar bands, that preached the same counter culture isms, in the rest of the country.
