There are 3 variants of the F 35. A is air force, B is Marines, the vtol version, and C is the navy carrier version.

I’m fairly certain the Navy wouldn’t use a helicopter to recover the ejected pilot from the aircraft carrier’s deck.

Which part of this is “affirmative action?”
The video really doesn’t make sense. Does the Carl Vinson have a ski ramp deck that no one knows about? This crash is supposedly during landing, yet the video shows the jet taking off. How did four sailors get injured by a jet going off the front of the ship?
Someone is pawning off the UK F-35 crash as current. The US Navy has obviously not released any footage.
I think that this article is an attempt at a translation from another language.

I was once a parachute rigger in an ANG fighter wing, wherein a pilot lost power on takeoff (F-16) and punched out into the ground as his a/c rolled out of a survivable ejection envelope.

Don't take it personal, but you are a 100% wrong. When a person goes overboard and the ship is doing ~30MPH+, they don't wait for the ship to come to a stop to deploy a liberty boat to pick them up..

I think you may have misunderstood freepersup. Had the pilot landed on the carrier deck, a helicopter rescue would not have been necessary. Freepersup was implying that since a helicopter rescue was required, the pilot did land in the ocean.
Landing an aircraft on a carrier is probably the most difficult task there is - topped only by doing it at night.
