A monkey on the loose in Pennsylvania in the dead of winter probably won’t last long.

Begs the question of how are they monitoring every resident? Quarantine camp or station a guard at every home?

From this article it appears to be the person who had close contact with the monkeys.

Truck carrying 100 monkeys crashes in Pennsylvania, escapees now accounted for

Meanwhile, Fallon told WBRE/WYOU the CDC contacted her saying that since the monkeys were not quarantined and monitored, she needs to take precautions because of the close contact she had with one of them in a crate.

So out of 100 monkeys, 4 escaped? Where they ever found? And how many were actually euthanized? 100...or 4...or 96? Lots of holes in this story that we should know the facts about, FFS!

The truck was carrying 100 monkeys. 4 escaped. All were found and euthanized.

But they could have come in contact with other animals/humans after their escape, which is why the CDC is monitoring local residents.

I was there and saw the scene. Now I have an urge to eat a banana.

Oh, ever since this Corona stuff started, I have been expecting something like this to happen.

Only surprised it took so long.

This situation flies in the face of anyone who propagandizes about about magazine capacity and ammo quantities.

If you rolled up on that scene, it might be best to start blazing away to prevent the furry plague carriers from infecting humans or local animal populations and then humans. It might also be worthwhile to have a can of gas and rags ready in case you need to take out the trailer and remaining crates.

There were 100 of them. You'd need an AR-12 with mixed bird and buckshot if more than 4 had escaped.

The whole situation seems suspicious as hell. Guy driving from New York to Missouri (not flying) which means multiple overnight stops on their way to a "CDC approved" lab.

Mount .50 caliber on trucks.

You'd need something with a wider spread. These are small, fast monkeys. You'd lose them in the smoke from a .50 cal.

I recall videos of wild boar hunters in helicopters in Texas using AR shotguns.

Full auto 12 gauge with twin 36 round drums would take care of the little suckers.

That'll take care of 72 of them. The other 28 could still be spreading the plague.

Seriously though. It does make one reconsider what they may face and what they need to use to stave off some bad stuff.
