Imagine these woke idiots in an open-plan office...
And thank you for the inspiration, too. I needed that.
They don’t even try to hide ‘anti-white male’ discrimination anymore.
Check out:

That you even have a ‘diversity’ page is the first red flag. Then look for ‘Goal By 2023’ - they literally have pie charts showing how they’re committed to reducing the amount of white-men.
Can you imagine if this were any other demographic?
I don't want to get into it, but I am one of these virtual worlds even though I am in a physical space usually solo have to show the team what is or isn't working on "the device".
Language hurdles, time differences, and intermittent / delayed internet from the 3rd world are real issues. On the positive side the team is into what they are doing, dedicated, so far it is not the Utopian Hell this Twitter gent speaks about.
I work with employers every day. None like WFH. For instance, mistakes and errors have been increased dramatically.
Emails and Zoom allow too many errors. People do not type everything in or the end user does not read the entire email.
Nothing like face to face to discuss a complex problem
Many employees work as hard from home but many do not.
Some employees are disciplined to work from home..others are not and they need structure and overseeing.
Copy and paste important parts of the tweet? So we don’t have to give Twitter hits?
It'll sort itself over time. Companies/businesses that work together/cohesive either through a hybrid format or in a traditonal office setting will be superior over those who WFH.
Unless you're a company like Facebook or Twitter where you are a sort of a monopoly on social media or you work as a Customer Service Representative for a major corporation (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc) then you'll get away with WFH, probably.
It’s worth some extra effort to read this one. Different browser.. Twitter app...etc
I’m your ‘old ompany guy’. I come from the time of black suits, white shirts, thin black ties, short flattop haircuts, ‘clark dark’ eyeglass frames, leather cop-type notepad in shirt pocket, comany-supplied parker jotter pen in blue ink only, company-supplied timex watch with leather band, black socks, wingtip shoes, and a james bond look-a-like briefcase.
your personal life and feelings stayed at home, period.
how you acted and what you did, reflected the company 24-7-365. and if management even heard a whisper, you were canned, turn in your company gear, and, the word went out, so, find you a new and different line of work!

You guys need to start your own companies with a few key folks, keep it small and offer outstanding products that work
set your own schedules do not work with huge customers controlling your schedule or whatever
give your excellent products as is to small businesses and mid size, whatever you consider those to be, and dont let them dictate your timelines
that doesnt mean dont take feedback or input, that means stay in control of what you’re doing and if you feel stuff isnpressuring you to do things you’re not ready for or aren’t as important as other things dont do it
the worst thing that can happen is you turn into thencompany you couldn’t stand working for before
and you have to stay in control if you also want to enjoy what you do
It’s very long and worth the time to read whole article and comments. This is describing a sea change in tech culture with lots of implications for larger society.

I gave twitter a hit. Oh well. I skimmed through it quickly. I get the gist. But I have two important figures to point to you. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. They are not going to tolerate any of that crap. So I think that's pretty much it. They're titans of industry and they'll continue to innovate even though we have liberal morons who've gone insane the past couple of years.
Don’t post links to Twitter Freepers, I refuse to give them clicks and so should we...
Like a cancer.
I grew up on in the tail end of your company structure you worked under.
I was a field rep for an insurance company early 80’s. Suit and tie at all times and only certain colors allowed. Dark blue or black or gray. No browns or greens. No tweed suit top with different color pants
Hair could not be over the ear. 100% of the reps were men. No women reps.
And yes I had a black briefcase.
By the late 80’s that structure starting going away.
Now, all my field reps who visit me ate nearly all women and they wear golf shirts or button down shirts with khaki style pants
Online chat applications like Zoo or Microsoft teams has made it possible for me to communicate faster and easier than Ever before.
And I don’t have to make that five minute trip down the hall to go to somebody’s office I just click on the button and then we’re talking.
I’m finding that Work from home has increased my productivity, and others that I know, Significantly.
Another good example is debugging I can share my screen and watch better than I can At somebody else’s desk trying to look at their computers screen over their shoulder.
I also do a lot of hardware simulation. So it’s actually beneficial for me NOT to be sitting at the physical hardware.
I wish I knew some of the stuff that you know, though. The phone is ringing off the hook for that type of work.
Thanks!
😊 Thanks.
