If one looks at the pictures, there is safety gear involved. I was thinking a parachute, bur instead it is a secondary rope that is hooked to a halter of some sort on his ankle.
To: Scarlett156
I was expecting he would be wearing a parachute just in case. I was wrong. Totally nuts.

People do this stuff and, you know, good for them. But when these things go tragically wrong, I don’t shed a tear. What do they expect? They’ll probably just keep doing dangerous stuff until *AHEM* they can’t.

Yes, that’s how I feel about it. But still impressed.
And you know, when you devote your life to this stuff, there’s no such thing as “tragically wrong” unless you take a bunch of bystanders down with you.

Why, O Why did I ever click on this moronity?
To: Magnum44
He’s attached by his feet. But a fall might still kill him even in that case. I saw a lady who was slacklining over a gorge - she fell like four times! But she kept getting back up and finally finished.

You didn’t look close enough. That second rope is attached to the main slack line not his ankle. You have to zoom in to see.

So, was it a tightrope or a slackline.

I saw he was wearing a harness, but couldn’t figure out how he could attach a safety line except for maybe getting in or out of the basket. I didn’t see him tethered to the slack line but maybe he had a way to hide it?

Why does this remind me of bread and circuses in Roman times.
And pole sitting, barrels over Niagara, etc during the great depression?

Look at the pictures. It’s on his feet. There may have been additional tethers hidden in his clothing but he doesn’t have much on. *continues to look at pictures* Hm..... yes......

Only someone with a huge pair of cajones that lowers their center of gravity would try this stunt.

WTH? And no one with a SAM on the ground?
