They still spend just fine.
I used to see bills with “Where’s George?” Stamped on them. There was even a website where you could enter the bill’s serial number and you would be able to see where that bill has been, geographically, provided someone else who had that same bill had entered it as well.
I’ll bet that little TDS wimp would’ve had a problem with that, too.
defacing bills now. gonna hit every lib restaurant i can find
..................................................
I had the same thought but I almost never use currency, and even put a senior coffee at Mickeys on my CC. Meanwhile the pumps at my local gas station all have a photo of Bidet with that ignorant smile on his mug pointing his finger at the price saying “I did that”! Most people applaud it but some Lefties whine and moan about them while they’re gassing up.
But would you knowingly select such a marked up bill if someone was paying you in a few $1. Dollar Bills?
Chances are, they are probably trying to get rid of it too.
I hadn’t seen your post before I made my comment! 👍
Nope, unless the denomination or serial numbers are defaced to the point of being unreadable, it’s a good bill. Tear a bill in half and take it to a bank. They will check the serial number. If it is intact they will exchange it.
When the bill is that marked up and toyed with, it’s usually up to the cashier whether they will take it or not.

Oh yeah? Says who? Any cashier where my wife works did that he or she would be fired immediately.
I cannot add anymore, to what you have already been told.
The little shit in the restaurant is WRONG.

Apparently some of his “buds” are posting on this thread!
Bias, or ignorance?
Choose.
Learn:
An FRN is acceptable for redistribution if it meets the following criteria:
- Is genuine, not a counterfeit note;
- Is a series-design approved for recirculation (old series-design notes are considered unfit after a
certain period of time in circulation);
- Is free from excessive holes, tears, tape or missing or folded note portions and has acceptable
area dimensions;
- Has uniform brightness and is free from excessive soiling;
- Is free from excessive print wear, particularly in the portrait area;
- Is free from excessive graffiti.
All of the fitness measurements are evaluated against fit/unfit parameters individually. An FRN must fail at least one fitness measurement to be considered unfit. Conversely, if an FRN marginally passes multiple fitness measurements the FRN is still considered fit.
We should start marking them Brandon lives here “no a joke” :p
so...if I get a $20 bill from an ATM with writing on it, I need to argue with the bank to replace it?
HA! I’ll do that to the ONE dollar bills.
You don’t?
Oh. The ‘Ain’t Got No Time fo this!” Lady.
Now you know how most cashiers feel when people start playing games with money.
Honey, where is my sharpie?
But… YOU’RE wrong.
And a little whacked.
Did you think you’re logged into DU(mb)?
It’s okay to have your own opinion, ya just can’t have your own FACTS.
See my #50.
Note the Federal Reserve classification of “Is free from excessive graffiti.”
I’ve read numerous legal opinions over the years and it’s generally accepted that it’s a 1A matter.
I’d happily wait for the cops, too.
Rd later.
