“As much as I dislike Baldwin from what I have heard about him, IMHO the blame for this tragedy falls on the armorer and director.”

What about the producer who was on-site during the violation of multiple safety rules.

The producer who violated multiple safety rules.

The producer who had a camera crew walk out over safety issues.

The producer that shot two people, killing one.

Thank you for this post. Finally someone with some REAL gun experience on set speaks regarding this situation.

Liberals like Baldwin love rules for everyone but themselves.

When I got my first firearm for my birthday, my father (a Police Officer), told me “Nobody was ever killed by an unloaded gun. But, the graveyards are full of people who thought the gun was unloaded.”

Now Alec will become even more of an anti-gun freak, now that he himself has "proved" how dangerous guns are.
He will never blame himself.

While news reports call the firearm a “prop” weapon, Carpenter said the label can be misleading. Some movie-set firearms are “true” props made of rubber. But others, like the one used on the set of “Rust,” are capable of deadly force.

The consultant also said that for safety purposes live firearms used in TV and movie productions are typically aimed at a dummy point, not at equipment, cast or crew members, as was the case with the weapon handled by Baldwin.

Alec will not be walking away from this. Just the fact that he pointed a gun at someone on set and fired it puts him in criminal jeopardy. And yes he will have the best attorneys etc. But there is no burying that truth.

They are both his Twitter accounts. First one is his personal account.

I wonder how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone...https://t.co/WE6QsAAXGI— AlecBaldwin (@AlecBaldwln____) September 23, 2017

Who besides the armorer would know the pistols’ exact caliber? Another article on this stated that the armorer had placed 3 pistols on the cart after loading. “Chain of custody” needs close examining.

The prop gun had misfired twice on Oct. 16 and once the week before, ...

That thing should have been out of commission until a gunsmith could fix it. But I don't see what that had to do with this incident.

‘It was a cap and ball revolver. “

I wasn’t aware that cap and ball revolvers used cartridge casings. Thanks for the update.

Not necessarily. If the safety catch was off, he could have just picked it up by the trigger guard. He might even have been holding it sideways or upside down, just looking at it.

You know as well as I what happened. The imbecile was probably horsing around and violated the most elementary rule of gun safety. Just an idiot who needs to be prosecuted for reckless homicide.

Anyone who had seen it, even in film already shot, and knew anything about firearms. It's not rocket science.

Anyone who thought this was a good "joke" may be dumb enough to have left prints, too. I really hope law enforcement is looking at this like they are trying to find a killer - because they are.
