Loving the discussion on this thread and inputs. Personally I’d rather not take the flu shot either although with no ill effects taking it through the years. If I were a younger man I’d skip ALL the vax shots but here at 65 trying to find the least riskiest option while providing some protection. Then again the trust and integrity factor with these vaccines is shot to hell unfortunately.
Which flu shot? There used to be a new one every year based on the prevalent strain.
Hardly any flu reported last year. Same this year.

Well, to me, it does not matter. I don’t take the flu shots ever, and I’ll never take the covid non-vax. I’ve had the flu and I’ve had covid, the flu was ten times worse then covid.

I've never taken the flu shot either. It was years before I even realized that the flu shot was a "thing."
A very large (i.e., large in terms of the amount of clinical data in back of it) study out of the U.K.'s NHS demonstrated pretty conclusively that, as a public health measure intended to benefit the geriatric population, the flu shot was perfectly worthless. That is to say, at a population level, there was no statistically-significant difference in adverse outcomes (i.e., hospitalization and/or death) between those in the geriatric cohort who took the flu shot and those who did not. Accordingly, the public health "recommendation" that the elderly get the flu shot each year was without warrant.
To each his own, I guess. For my part, I'm looking to finish out my time in this present life with the immune system God gave me, unadorned with some synthetic supplement provided by the drug-pusher set (i.e., Big Pharma, Inc.).

The flu shot propaganda has been decades of conditioning for the gullible that shots are “safe” & “effective” and any adverse effects are “rare”.

Have taken the flu shot every year. Will give it a miss this year. What with the cdc idiots talking about adding covid rna vax to the flu vax for a combined shot, and reading more than once about folks being given rna covid jab instead of flu vaccine (by accident of course). It just doesn’t give a warm fuzzy trusting feeling about what would actually be getting injected into my arm this year.
But honestly, LOTS of people probably got their regular flu shots last year, seniors too, and it didn’t seem to help then? So what’s up here? I’m just conditioned now to question any “msm/govt research report” on any medicine. It’s like if msm says good then I think bad, and if they say it’s bad then I think probably not just bad for big biz and pharma. Is that wrong?

Fauci has previously said that he wanted to combine the flu vaccine and the Covid vaccine. You see? That's a way to get around the right to refuse Covid 'vaccines'.
Have you noticed we don't have flu anymore? In 2020, 38 million annual 'flu' disapeared. So why do we need a flu vaccine? Why won't Covid just disappear for no reason like the flu? (HINT: Flu was reclassified as Covid. They need Covid to lock down the country and enslave us.)
I wouldn’t trust the flu shot going forward.
The flu vaccine kicks the immune system into high gear to produce flu antibodies. It’s possible that the immune system being in high gear also makes it attack covid that much sooner.
