Wouldn’t “Puritan Christian” exclude Roman Catholics and many others?

Totally false. Puritans (Calvinists) have traditionally gotten rough treatment on the Religion sub board.

I’ve been here for years and never found it a home for bigotry. FR has published material for and against the present Pope. Certainly, there are some who will post, “The Pope is an idiot,” and others who will write “The Pope is a Saint.” You can dump those responses in File X while reading the usual thoughtful appraisals. As for anti-Semitism, in all my years there have been a few posts that have bled through, but the individuals are usually put in their place. Thankfully, the Gaiia, Isis, Astarte, Cybele cultists have not found a home here.
