Its might be too late for those other treatment.... Here is one that has pending EUA for critical patients. They do have Emergency Access.
They drug is called Zyesami, Aviptidal, RLF-100.
The drug is pretty amazing. It enters the Ace2 cells in the lungs (same cell covid enters and kills).. it blocks covid from entering and the same time it heals the cell and increases production of surfactant, which allows the passage of O2 (oxygen gas) into the blood steam. I should add that its not a drug per say... its a natural peptide. VIP Vasoavtive Intestinal Peptide.
EUA - Emergency Use Authorization is pending ANY day now.

Here is some cut and paste from their Website-
ZYESAMI™ (Aviptadil acetate), a synthetic form of human Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide, an endogenous substance produced by the body that amongst other functions helps protect cells against inflammatory conditions. (VIP) has been granted Fast Track Designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)for the treatment of Critical COVID-19 with respiratory failure, and is now in clinical trials. Rapid recovery from Critical COVID-19 with respiratory failure has been reported in patients treated with open label VIP under an FDA Emergency Use IND and/or the Expanded Access program. It must also be noted that Administered as an intravenous infusion the key side effects seen in the Expanded Access Program as well as the placebo controlled trial are diarrhea (~ in 1/3 of patients), hypotension (lowering of blood pressure). Emerging data indicates that VIP binds uniquely to receptors on Alveolar Type II cells in the lung, the same cells that bind the SARS-CoV-2 virus via their ACE2 receptors. VIP protects those cells and the surrounding pulmonary epithelium by blocking cytokines, preventing cytopathy (cell death), and upregulating the production of surfactant, the loss of which is increasingly implicated in COVID-19 respiratory failure. Furthermore, emerging preclinical data suggests that VIP inhibits the replication of the SARS-CoV2 virus.
What if you have Critical COVID-19 and cannot access one of the existing trials?

First, you should always discuss the situation with the treating physicians to evaluate all available options at your current hospital.
NRx continues to make ZYESAMI™ available through an FDA-approved expanded access protocol at a very limited number of hospitals but will not add additional study sites (hospitals) under this program. US hospitals that are still active in this program are listed at (add link to EAP). The expanded access protocol is available to patients who are unable to access a clinical trial treatment site or who are ineligible to enter one of the currently operating clinical trials because of coexisting medical conditions. Please note that your treating physician as well as NRx’s medical advisors will evaluate if ZYESAMI™ has the potential to be of benefit. Furthermore, as an investigational treatment manufacturing at this time is focused on the clinical studies, so availability of ZYESAMI™ may be limited
Patients and physicians who believe that treatment with ZYESAMI™ is the only remaining option in the setting of Critical COVID-19 may request treatment under the Federal “Right to Try” Act (cite the law). Under this law, patients with a life-threatening illness who have exhausted approved therapies may be treated with an investigational drug upon physician request. NRx will evaluate making ZYESAMI™ available for a limited number of cases under the Right to Try Act, provided our medical advisors believe that the drug may have the potential to be of benefit on a case by case basis. As allowed in the Right to Try legislation, NRx does charge for the costs of making ZYESAMI™ available to patients under this program. (Patients or their Legally Authorized Representative should check with their hospital and Health Insurance regarding coverage of this cost.) NRx additionally requires that the patients consent to physicians providing information on the safety and efficacy results of treatment so that NRx can comply with its FDA reporting obligations.
Before asking your doctor to consider requesting ZYESAMI™ under the Right to Try act, please read the patient consent form. And, make sure that you are willing to give your consent for treatment if your doctor decides that you are eligible for this program.

We hope that the above information has been helpful. NRx Pharma continues its work with the FDA to learn more about ZYESAMI™ as a potential treatment for Critical and Severe COVID-19. We reiterate that ZYESAMI™ is an investigational drug that has not been approved by the US FDA or any other regulatory agency for COVID-19 related conditions.

On behalf of all of us at NRx Pharma, our prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.

Jonathan C. Javitt, MD, MPH
CEO and Chairman, NRx, Inc.

Hope that helps!

It’s not just the amount. It’s also the quality of the CS.

Prayers are offered for your loved on from me. Blessing on him.

I urge you to not listen to all the noise seen above. You have done nothing wrong and there is not evidence suggesting what some are trying to tell you

I can personally witness to you that the ventilator is life saving in severe disease. But not always. But hold heart and faith that it is not a death sentence

Suggest you seek if he is on decadron as jim noble recommended. Also recommend as Mom Md said tocilizumab. The problem may be if he is on other antibiotics or has a superimposed bacterial pneumonia he might not be a candidate.

All hope is not lost especially given his age.

If you have any questions PM me and I will answer as best as I can

Gods blessings on you and yours.

Here is a little more info.... the website has changed so the instructions are not correct. Im just posting this as there is some good advice in it. Someone else wrote this.

From Bertx

I have seen a few requests here and there asking how to get Aviptadil for your family member. Right now it is extremely difficult but I am going to write up a simple guide here that can maximize your chances of getting it for yourself or someone you know who is in critical condition.

The most important thing you can do is identify which ICU Physicians will be giving primary care, and convince them to get on board with trying the drug. The best chance you have at doing this is by demonstrating you understand the risks.

You must understand this is not an easy task, and it is going to require a lot of your time and dedication. So mentally prepare for that. Here are the steps you must take to even begin this process.

1. Go to NeuroRX website
2. Top right click “covid 19”
3. Click “USA licensed physician”
4. In the center of the page you will see links to “Investigators brochure and scientific overview” These are both very important and will need to be given to the doctor/doctors.
5. google these words exactly “neurorx patient consent form” and the very first link you can click will download a word document. This is the patient consent form. Fill this out BEFORE talking to anyone about this drug and have multiple copies of it. This will show you understand the risks of the drug being experimental and may expedite the process.
6. Familiarize yourself as best you can with the NeuroRX website in case you need to direct anyone on the care team to a specific link.

My last tip I will give is that when it comes to getting the drug on board, the doctors are the MOST influential personnel who will be able to get this drug into your hospital. However, despite your best efforts, the board management of the hospital ultimately can deny the use of an experiment drug, even if the doctor is okay with it. So prepare yourself for the possibility of failure as well.

I hope this will help those who may not be as tech savvy. Stay healthy, and good luck

that’s sodium in foods. a good salt is great for you as it’s filled with all the trace minerals necessary for LIFE. I like Redmond’s real salt but there’s a few others.

salt does not cause high blood pressure as most of the medical clinic falsely claims but low mag does.

I think it was from the study that showed the TB vaccine offered protection from Covid and TB is practically Malaria.

An expert told me to drink Gin and Tonics to keep Covid at bay. He’s a well-respected bartender so I believe him but I think I got the Delta variant a month ago anyway.

A little overweight, maybe 25 pounds.

25 pounds might be considered obese...

“Devon is 47 years old and healthy, other than the Covid. Hay fever (grass seed). A little overweight, maybe 25 pounds. “

Doesn’t sound like he would have qualified for monoclonal antibody infusion. What’s your recommendation for early treatment for people who don’t qualify for monoclonal antibody infusion?

Quinine is like Kryptonite to Covid but I find Gin tends to make me break out in handcuffs.

Waiting to hear from my doctor whether it is too late to get tested.

stats are not good for vented covid patients....not impossible odds, just not good odds....

with my brother....65....trim,fit, not on any meds that I was aware of, he got covid, or so they tell me, and his whole family had it...wife a mild case, dtrs, grandchildren even milder.

he thought he could work threw it...but finally went to the hospital and from oxygen to bipap to vent to trach/Feeding tube, etc...

was vented for several weeks....

thought we saw some light at the end of the tunnel but his heart just gave out....they kept him alive with blood pressure support until his dtrs could get there....

its been devastating for our family....he was beloved...

my strong advice.....get him some ivermectin.....there were two cases in NYS where elderly were on vents with covid, they had to go thru the courts to get ivermectin but once they did, they got almost immediately better....

I suggested this strongly to my brothers family but they couldn't get thru to the doc.....

try ivermectin....its worth a try....

That’s the thing about this virus…….

People get sick, not really badly, then they seemingly get better, a few days later they’re sick again only this time it’s worse.

Everyone I know that had Covid did the same thing.

One of my wife’s employees, a mid 40 year old healthy male was sick end of April 2021……..he ended up on a ventilator for 3 weeks, he was weened off and stayed off for 2 days and ended up back on for a couple more weeks.

He’s home, recovering and should be fine. He needs time.
He had us worried during his hospital stay.

I pray for you, your Nephew, and your family.

Prayers for Devon.

Just want to share this: my husband went to hospital by ambulance with very severe shortness of breath (and had fallen a couple times) in April 2020. He was 71 and in generally “fair” health, several co-morbidity issues. Presumably he did not have Covid-19, but I am not sure I believe that.

Anyway, he was intubated/on ventilator for 8 FULL DAYS, and came off of it, and was back to “normal” in a few months, still going strong. Just trying to give you hope that the ventilator isn’t necessarily a “death sentence”.

Please keep us posted. Prayers up for Devon and all who love him.
