Pg spends a lot on brand positioning, marketing and supply chain. The true value of most of their products is about 5% to 15% of the price.
You get better quality products for a lower price elsewhere

I remember when Sarah Ferguson became the spokesperson for Waterford/Wedgwood, a previously classy, reputable company. Didn't go well for either of them. Hard to advertise china and crystal when you are a slob who snorts and eats with her fingers.
May P&G learn the same lesson.
