Yep, not wilderness. But they ruined bear hunting in CO and every year the bears get worse, encroaching populated areas.

I have basic rule of thumb. When walking in the forrest always maintain situational awareness and carry a big bore revolver preferably in 44 mag.

I would hope her two dogs watched her six and gave her time to terminate the threat if she was armed.

This is happening more every year where people are hiking right when bears are coming out of hibernation looking for food. Sows are hungry and protecting her cubs and young boars are hungry and have been kicked out of the way to find their own territories and mates.

Outlawing Spring bear hunting and baiting happened and I feel sorry for the bears and the people who run in to them.

I saw a man try to take some photos of some bear cubs. He walked between mama and the cubs.
