I don’t do a lot of reading (other than FR) on this subject so as to not adulterate what I’ve seen myself. Given that, have you ever heard of these things (whatever they are) claiming to be family or related? It felt like it considered me its child. I was five years old, so I can’t rule out it just being a dream.

The "we're family" script is standard. Most if not all abductions start in early childhood and a kind of Stockholm Syndrome often develops, and the "we're family" stuff is partof that.

Not saying that your dream was anything other than a dream of course.

May I ask if you are a person of strong faith? I ask because that is something that seems to put an end to such experiences.

I was agnostic until 4 years ago. I was a "SCIENCE" type. Now I don't feel as if there is a conflict b/w what we take as faith and science. God created the universe to work under certain rules and science just reveals it. Science can be wrong... until at some point it finds the correct answer.

I have considered that these entities may not be aliens but are spiritual. I've had a few discussions on here with a few others about that. I tend to think it's all the same thing. Angels, demons, aliens (or multi-dimensional beings) ... all the same phenomenon.

Use your faith as a shield.

I have studied this stuff extensively and there were times I got a little nervous about it (i.e., delving into stuff I should probably avoid).

But I keep coming back to Sun Tzu's admonition of "know thine enemy."

I resolved to keep digging into it, but to keep my faith front and center as a shield. I do a lot of praying before, during, and after any studying or digging I do on this subject.

I have always been a “science” and “math” guy but the more I learn, the more I realize that faith in God is completely consistent with such.

That’s the current narrative and the question that arises in my mind is “to serve what purpose?

Well, the Cigarette Smoking Man's answer comes to mind:

"If people were to know the things I know, it would all fall apart."

"UFO pictures and video are no less fuzzy and blurry than pictures of other aircraft that are flying at high speed and at high altitude."

It's a challenge photographing a moving object at a distance and a greater challenge to photograph luminous stationary or moving objects at night.

I'm not surprised there are no good or convincing photographs thus far. Perhaps this will change.

Supposedly a tranche of documents will be declassified next month. Maybe that might help address some questions about these things.
