How did he ever live down SHARK’S TREASURE.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073695/

An excellent actor in ALIEN and others.

Yes, what I meant was that the voodoo looking guy in the previous post is Geoffrey Holder, and he was in Live and Let Die as well as being the “uncola man”.

His ads for 7 Up were also huge.

BTW, those ads and 7 Up’s “the uncola” campaign propelled 7 Up to the #3 soft drink spot in sales (only behind Coke & Pepsi). An incredible feat for an independent soft drink.

He had a great supporting role as detective Harry Lownes in the 1983 movie “The Star Chamber”.

One my favorite performance of Yaphet Kotto is in The Messiah on Mott Street episode of Night Gallery with Edward G. Robinson and Tony Roberts.

I read up on him, he is an African Jew, a Republican, supported Steve Forbes in 1996, and Damn fine actor. His favorite role was the FBI guy in “Midnight Run”, wonder how he felt about De Niro?

I was a kid in the 1960’s when I first saw him and always liked him. God Speed Yaphet and thanks for all the hours of great entertainment.
