Walmart locks up flashlights. And after the 15 minute wait to choose what you want, they take it to the register and tell you what register to check out at. I made a note to not buy a flashlight at Walmart again.
The beverage stores in areas where blacks live in FL has hair weaves and the like and they put them right up next to the cash register so they can keep an eye on them.
One of my best friends used an Afro Sheen bottle to spray his trombone slide. I always thought that was really cool.
Yeah, different skin tones for makeup, and really different things for hair.
Not really. Then they will be accused of racial discrimination for not having those products in your store. It is a lose lose situation.
Problem America has is that we cannot tell the truth about anything because truth is racist don’t ya know.
You go to just about any store and there are locked cases. Eventually stores will stop carrying those item and they will only be available on the internet. No shoplifting that way.

Exactly. Certainly the decision was data driven. Walmart exists and thrives because it is data driven. In fact, I'll bet someone would have had to notice the products being stolen were for black people.
I'll also bet they only locked down the product in problem stores. It costs money to install the locks.
If Walmart were run by the government, they would remove the locks and reduce the price in the name of social justice. But you can only do that if you're spending someone else's money.

Walmart has an unbelievably high tolerance to shoplifting losses, especially when it comes to vocal, politically protected classes of people.
They should try posting signs near the most highly-taken products that include an image of a security camera:
“We have cameras. Yes, we do.
We prosecute thieves. Don’t let that be you.”
Of course, everyone knows Wally World *settles* every lawsuit out of court and almost never prosecutes which is why they are such a preferred business for thieves. They’ve invited this behavior because of their past actions.
Oh crap, I wonder if the George Floyd air fryers and flat screens are next?

Small, expensive, easily concealed, easily fenced item.
“I noticed the other day tha our WM has locked up the condoms.”
All of them, or just the extra large ones? That might be a “community” thing, too.

Reality is that blacks steal in Wal-mart at alarming numbers. Walgreens has closed stores in black areas because of theft.
